So...where do you record?
At home?
In the studio?
What's it like?
Do you have your own gear?
What sorts of projects have you done?

I still have an old Teac 4 track reel to reel that has done lots of bouncing over the years...havn't played with it much in awhile. Often a friend will record an outreach with a "random" placement of a mini disc recorder for the purposes of blessing folks who sometimes inquire if we have any cds ,which they often get a burned copy of the music the next time we're around. I used to care if they sounded good or not but I had a revelation one afternoon...Thank You JESUS.

Jim, you ever considered "hard disK" recording?
Some of the programs out there are pretty affordable now and most of them come with a host of codex options to get you to mp3 when you're done mixing.
I've gotta buddy that's always telling me about the freeware and shareware he's picked up to add to his basic system.
I think his biggest investment was the hardware to interface to the outside world.
GC is always blowing out these "loss leader" boxes with a couple 1/4" HI and XLR LI I/O.
Maybe you wanna look into that?

We have an old boom box, and we record over old cassettes that we find in our bass player's shop. It's a junky system, but it's better than no system at all. Twisted Evil
